Chinese medicine for PMS Treatment Hervey Bay

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is the most common gynaecological problems for women. PMS is a group of symptoms relating to the end phase of menstrual cycle. PMS symptoms appear consistently one to two weeks before menstruation (known as the luteal phase). PMS symptoms will reduce when menstruation begins. PMS can affect any woman with a menstrual cycle but mostly affects women between the ages of 20-40 years of age. PMS can include over 150 symptoms. PMS symptoms can vary for each woman and intensity. Medical diagnosis of PMS is based on symptoms. Other tests can be performed to rule out  medical conditions.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbs for PMS

During your first consultation, you’ll get a Chinese medicine diagnosis based on your symptoms, observing your tongue and feeling the pulses in your wrists. The Chinese medicine diagnosis is a philosophical system that will lead to the points and herbal combinations. No person is treated with the exact same combinations. We have a saying in Chinese medicine:

One disease, different treatments,

Different diseases, same treatment

This means two people with the PMS may receive different treatments if their Chinese medicine diagnosis is different. Two people with different illnesses can receive the same treatment if their Chinese medicine diagnosis is the same. There is no PMS formula or points that suit everyone.
